Degree Request
Students can request their master's degree any time as soon as the necessary 120 ECTS have been acquired.
Degree Request
The degree request must be submitted via myStudies.
Important
- A maximum of 130 ECTS can be credited to the master's degree diploma.
- Further study achievements will be listed on the addendum of the degree; the grade of these study achievements will not be used to calculate the GPA (grade point average). It is not possible to split credits for one course/project.
After the submission, the degree request is checked and processed by the Student Administration, and afterwards forwarded for processing to the Diploma Office. The status of your degree request will be displayed in myStudies.
Students leaving ETH will have access to their e-mail, home directory and website until five months after departure. Other services have a shorter validity. Detailed information can be found in the PDF linked above (Brochure: Leaving ETH).
Students must remain enrolled until the degree request has been processed by the Student Administration and until the degree becomes official.
When the degree is officially decreed, the student is automatically dematriculated.
If the final academic record is being decreed after the end of the fourth week of the semester, the semester invoice has to be paid.
